URGENT NOTICE
Due to the serious water‑shortage situation and the obligation to reduce consumption to 160 liters per inhabitant per day, following the decision adopted by the Drought Committee, we inform (until further notice) that water pressure will be lowered during nighttime, starting the night of Wednesday 21 February.
This measure may cause users in various parts of the city—especially in the higher areas of the municipality—to lose supply, particularly those subscribers who do not have a cistern and are directly connected to the potable‑water network.
The restrictions will be applied between 00:00 and 06:00, although a small margin will exist due to the time required to carry out the maneuvers. This decision will take effect indefinitely until further notice throughout the Costa del Sol.
Initially, there will be no flow reduction on Saturday nights. Each Saturday morning the supply will be restored, and pressure will not be reduced again until the early hours of Sunday‑to‑Monday, at 00:00.
It is important to avoid unnecessary water storage and to consume responsibly, so that these measures do not have to become more severe in the future.
We regret the inconvenience caused, which, beyond our control, may arise as a consequence of this situation of exceptional seriousness.
